Everywhere you look you see a green and watery landscape. For water sports such as sailing and kiting, this environment lends itself perfectly. For the less fanatical, a nice walk along the water or a boat trip are very suitable. Bus line 544 stops here. Bakhuizen is easy to reach by car. From the village you drive in no time to the N359, from where you have an easy connection to the larger highways A6 and A7. Also, by car you drive within 15 minutes to Stavoren, where the nearest train station can be found.
